From February 11 to 13, 2025, representatives from partner organizations across Europe convened in Kufstein, Austria, for the Healthy Lifestyle Network Europe meeting. This gathering served as a strategic platform to evaluate progress, discuss new developments, and establish future directions for initiatives promoting preventive health and well-being. Through collaborative efforts, the network aims to enhance awareness, education, and accessibility to evidence-based lifestyle interventions across Europe.

Enhancing the Healthy Lifestyle Promoter Program

A key focus of the discussions was the Healthy Lifestyle Promoter course, which has been successfully completed by 802 professionals seeking to expand their expertise in lifestyle medicine. The meeting also provided an opportunity to assess local promotion efforts, with insights shared by students from Fachhochschule Kufstein Tirol, the hosting institution, who have actively contributed to the dissemination of the program within academic and community settings.

Expanding the Reach of Lifestyle Scan and Lifestyle SWITCH

The development and implementation of the Lifestyle Scan and Lifestyle SWITCH remain a priority, with the goal of engaging 50,000 individuals across Europe. As of February 12, 2025, 1,237 scans had already been completed, despite the campaign not yet being formally launched. Discussions centered on optimizing outreach strategies and increasing engagement, including the active involvement of Healthy Lifestyle Promoters in encouraging participation.

Advancing the Healthy Lifestyle Coach Training Program

The meeting also addressed the ongoing development of the Healthy Lifestyle Coach training program, which will be offered primarily as an online course, with an optional in-person certification leading to a recognized European qualification. Participants explored the potential integration of artificial intelligence to enhance educational materials and learning experiences. The program's dissemination will be supported through strategic partnerships, digital engagement, and collaboration with academic institutions.

Commitment to Sustainable Health Promotion

The Healthy Lifestyle Network Europe meeting in Kufstein reaffirmed the shared commitment of its partners to fostering knowledge exchange, cross-sector collaboration, and innovative approaches to preventive health. With structured action plans and targeted objectives in place, the initiative is well-positioned to drive impactful and sustainable improvements in lifestyle and well-being across Europe.
