Representatives from the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, and Lithuania met in Novi Sad, Serbia (May 20–22) for the Healthy Lifestyle Network Europe (HLNE) project meeting. Hosted by CHESS and led by New Health, the three-day event focused on knowledge exchange, evaluation, and future planning.

Partners reviewed progress on the HLNE project, which promotes healthy lifestyles, prevention, and sustainable health across Europe. The Healthy Lifestyle Promoter programme—already reaching thousands—was a key topic, alongside the new Healthy Lifestyle Coach pilot, where participants are gaining hands-on experience in coaching and behaviour change. The pilot runs until August, followed by a joint evaluation.

Discussions also covered the future HLNE Consortium, aiming to grow into a European network for lifestyle awareness, education, and prevention, with programmes, campaigns, and innovative initiatives at its core. New opportunities, including Horizon projects and initiatives on healthy ageing, loneliness, and workplace health, were also explored.

The meeting reinforced a shared goal: building healthier people, communities, and a stronger future for Europe.
